It's official, we offered our first class in a series of fun and interactive cooking classes designed for low glycemic cooking. The intro class took place at Classic Cooking Academy in Scottsdale on the 25th of April. I led the class and the hands on kitchen elements to healthy eating for diabetics. Thanks to the staff, Chef Drew, and Jeff who had the steadfast belief that this type of class would be well received in the Valley!
This intro class is a lead in to a 3 class series coming this fall, focusing on areas of our diets most impacted by Glucose. Once a week for 3 weeks we will gather and cover topics that include Ancient Grains, Pasta & Starch Substitutions, and Breads / Deserts.
Watch the calendar for the announcement of another Intro class in early October, followed by the 3 class series the first week of November. I am excited to be a part of the team at Classic Cooking academy and looking forward to sharing my passion for cooking with color for your health.
